Production Supervisor
Location: Saginaw, Michigan 48601

Pay Type: Salary + Bonus Incentive

Shift: 3rd Shift w/ pay premium

Schedule: 7:00pm - 7:00am (4-on-4-off rotating)
ABOUT THE ROLE
\n
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and managing a team of production workers to achieve efficient and safe production. The position will be hands on and will work on cross functional teams across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have effective leadership, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:

Train and coach employees to operate equipment safely in their respective job assignments and follow all safety / equipment standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Lead, support, and hold employees accountable to produce high quality products.
Monitor production to eliminate defects ensuring the customer receives a quality, defect free product.
Monitor scrap and execute plans to minimize scrap in all areas.
Responsible for shift OEE and optimal equipment output.
Write and give employee performance reviews and, when necessary, administer disciplinary action.
Supports Lean, 5S, and World Class initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisor or lead coordinator experience is required.
Previous experience in a Lean manufacturing environment to include; Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Kanban and Root Cause Analysis is highly desired.
Safety and quality oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
Must have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
Ability to schedule production.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Must be flexible with schedule and able to work any shift.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
