About the Role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join the Birchwood Foods family on second shift. In this role, you will lead a team of production workers in our Kenosha (County) facility, which also is home to our Corporate Headquarters. You will work closely with other members of our operations team to ensure 100% first time safety and quality, and will report to the Department Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assure proper staffing requirements for department are obtained.
• Enforce all safety practices.
• Prepare daily efficiency reports and ensure efficiencies are met and/or exceeded.
• Assure that all quality standards are followed.
• Verify HACCP documents as required by HACCP plan.
• Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Understand BRC Principles and apply the training to those working in your department.

Required Skills

• B.S./B.A degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Biological Sciences, or other related discipline preferred.
• 5 years of relevant work experience, with minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Knowledgeable in Lock out/Tag out, HACCP, GMP, Safety, and BRC or Global Standards Training procedures.
• Provide cross functional leadership and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead a team and make quick and sound decisions.
