As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. You will respond promptly to any situations that arise, communicate clearly and professionally, and work collaboratively with your team to uphold the Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain detailed reports and logs of observations, incidents, and activities during patrols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance as needed.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks and report any unusual activity or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in training sessions and drills to remain prepared for emergency response situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
