Description:

We’re seeking a reliable, organized, and hands-on tradesperson to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, keeping work areas efficient, and lending a hand where needed. Primary duties include maintaining clean and orderly work areas, organizing materials and equipment, transporting parts to and from sites, and assisting with light electrical work under supervision. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed may be required as deemed necessary by your supervisor.

Responsibilities:

· Clean and organize work areas and shop spaces. 

· Inventory, load, and transport tools, materials, and parts to our teams in the field or in the shop using a company vehicle.

· Washing and touching up paint on any equipment needed throughout the yard.

· Maintain an organized and stocked equipment/material floor plan.

· Perform light electrical tasks, such as installing devices, pulling wire, and basic fixture work (under supervision)

· Assist tradespeople and supervisors with general labor and project prep tasks.

· Ensure tools and materials are properly handled and stored to maintain safety and efficiency.

· Complete assigned tasks efficiently, safely, and professionally

· Load, unload, and move materials by hand or using basic equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks)

· Organize and maintain the yard and storage areas to ensure clean, safe, and efficient operations

· Assist with inventory checks and verify incoming and outgoing shipments

· Support drivers and shipping/receiving teams with staging and loading materials

· Operate basic yard equipment after training (e.g., forklifts, skid steers — if applicable)

· Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times

· Perform basic maintenance or cleanup duties as needed

· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Key Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· No prior experience required — on-the-job training provided

· Clean driving record and valid driver’s license. Must be 21 years or older.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail

· Willingness to learn and follow instructions

· Basic math and communication skills

· Can safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and overhead cranes. 

Requirements:

Follows rules and regulations : Ensures that he/she understands the organization’s rules and follows them consistently at both Tri-Lift’s and client’s locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Has the ability to perform strenuous and heavy work, can exert force up to 100 pounds on occasion and frequently handle loads to 50 pounds. Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pulling, walking and lifting, etc While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential equipment movement hazards as well as exposure to chemicals and solvents that require knowledge of proper safety procedures. Work is performed at customer locations, including manufacturing, warehouses, cold storage facilities and other “difficult” or outdoor environments. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE: The typical work schedule is as follows: Mondy through Friday, 1st shift, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
