**Welder/Fabricator** **Department:** Chemical - Fabrication **Job Status** : Full Time **FLSA Status:** Hourly Non-Exempt **Reports To:** Fabrication Manager **Work Schedule:** Monday-Friday **Amount of Travel Required:** 5-15% **Positions Supervised:** None **WHO YOU ARE:** **The Fabricator/Welder position works on the manufacture/assembly team for the Company's food safety intervention solutions. This position focuses on the sanitary welding, fabrication and assembly of the framework, piping and cabinetry of the Company's products.** **WHO WE ARE:** + Leader in food safety solutions for both contract sanitation and chemistry in the food processing industry. + Over 10,000 dedicated team members across North America. + Corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA with team members working in over 250 plants throughout North America. + Over 50+ years of experience in creating long-lasting partnerships. **OUR MISSION:** **We protect the food supply by eliminating risks so families everywhere can eat without fear.** + **Protect What Matters:** We are in service of safety at every step, ensuring the health of everyone is central to all we do - from plant team members to consumers.? + **Deliver On Our Promises?:** We speak honestly and are dedicated to doing the right thing by upholding ethical standards and following through on our commitments to our teams, our customers, and our business.? + **Win as a Team?:** We believe in the power of collaboration, uniting our diverse strengths while working hand-in-hand with our team members and customers to unlock potential and achieve stronger results together.? + **Advance a Safer Future?:** We are committed to innovating more effective, sustainable, and cost-efficient food safety solutions to develop a safer world for all.? **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** **The ideal candidate for the Fabricator/Welder role must be able to satisfactorily:** + Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and engineering plans to construct high-quality parts and assemblies. + Utilize a variety of tools and equipment such as welders, cutters, sharers, C &C Machine and measuring tools to shape materials. + Inspect and test finished products for functionality and adherence to specifications. + Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. + Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the manufacturing process. + Assist in the enhancement of fabrication methods, seeking efficiency and reduction of costs. + This position will assist with the electrical assembly, i.e. basic wiring, of equipment for customers. + Perform needed system testing before shipment to customer sites. + Other duties as assigned. **YOUR MUST HAVES:** + Must be 18 years of age or older. + 1 year previous welding experience GTAW (TIG) or GMAW (MIG). + Ability to comprehend documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating/ maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, algebra, and geometry. + Ability to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Strong communication skills (oral and written). + Adaptability & flexibility - can change plans at the moment and make tactical adjustments appropriately. Remains calm and confident even in stressful situations. + Good work ethic and desire to produce high-quality products for our clients. + punctual and maintain a good attendance record. + Self-motivated and stay productive. + Possess a positive attitude and be able work within a team. + Be able to work overtime when required. + Must be willing to learn new skills. **WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:** + Valid Welder's certificate. + TIG/GTAW welding experience. **OUR ENVIRONMENT:** **This position is based in our manufacturing plant environment. Expected exposure to wet, hot, cold, various shifts, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).** **Constant** (role requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day) Use of fingers and hands. Lift/Carry 10 lbs or less & push/pull 12 lbs or less. **Frequently** (role requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day) Stand, climb stairs, walk, sit, reach outward, squat/kneel, bend. Lift/Carry 11-50 lbs & push/pull 13-40 lbs. **Occasional** (role requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day) Climb & crawl.
