As a Hotel Security Guard at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community.

Every Security Guard at Precision Security Team is entrusted with delivering an exceptional experience for our clients while safeguarding their interests. It is essential to uphold the company’s professional image at all times—whether interacting with clients, the public, or law enforcement.

As a member of our team, you are expected to embody and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct in all aspects of your work.

Your schedule would be 11:00 pm-7:00 am Saturday and Sunday for a total of 24 hours per week with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.

Due to city and client requirements, candidates must be willing to obtain a Denver Security Guard License with a Plainclothes endorsement immediately upon hire.

Our office is located in Fort Collins. Candidates must be willing to travel to Fort Collins for an interview and training.

5 Critical Roles of the Position:

General Hospitality Security and Entrance Control:

• Maintain a welcoming and secure environment for guests, staff, and visitors, ensuring adherence to hotel policies.
• Respond promptly to security concerns or emergencies with professionalism and discretion, prioritizing guest safety and satisfaction.

Randomized Site Patrols:

• Conduct randomized and thorough patrols of the hotel property, including common areas, hallways, parking facilities, and service corridors, to deter unauthorized activities and identify safety concerns.
• Maintain vigilance and adapt patrol routes to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.

Front Desk Assistance:

• Collaborate with front desk staff to address guest inquiries and assist with access control, guest verification, and luggage security when needed.
• Provide a friendly presence to support the front desk team during peak hours or overnight shifts.

Reporting:

• Document all incidents, observations, and security concerns in detailed, accurate reports.
• Communicate critical information promptly to management or law enforcement as required.

De-escalation:

• Effectively manage challenging situations or conflicts with guests or intruders using professional de-escalation techniques.
• Resolve incidents calmly and maintain a positive atmosphere for all hotel occupants.

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: This W2 position pays $25.00/hour. Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance. Hiring Process: Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication. Please do not write "see resume" or "can be discussed during the interview" as your answer. We are looking for answers with specific examples and/or thorough, multiple sentence answers to the questions.

Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes to identify candidates who align well with our company’s needs. If your resume stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members.

During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.

PST adheres to a hands-off approach whenever possible, prioritizing verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques. The only instance where physical intervention is appropriate is if an individual poses an immediate physical threat to themselves, others, or you. Acceptable physical intervention techniques will be taught during our mandatory Phase I training.

Employment with Precision Security Team is "at-will," meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, as permitted by Colorado law. This at-will employment relationship cannot be altered or modified except by a written agreement signed by both the employee and an authorized representative of the company.

All knowledge about a site's staff, customers, products, events, procedures, facilities, etc. must remain confidential. Any improper public or personal disclosure will result in discipline up to and including termination.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• high school diploma or GED
• pass required background check
• able to work the posted hours without modification
• wear required uniform throughout the entire duration of your assigned shift

Physical Requirements:

• able to stand for up to eight hours at a time
• able to sit frequently throughout your shift
• able to pass company basic hand-to-hand course
• able to walkaround and up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift
• able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
