Overview Job Reference # 324859BR City: New York Job Type: Full Time Your role Do you want an opportunity to work across different sales team(s) and business stakeholders to support the Unified Global Markets Americas business meet its operational and risk requirements? We’re looking for a highly driven, analytical, forward-thinking individual to lead our New York-based COO Team to support, execute and help manage our risks within the Unified Global Markets business. This will include oversight of governance forums and controls. Are you keen on leading a team that is introducing improvements, adapting processes and ensuring that the goals are met? The responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Navigating complex divisional, legal entity, Global and Regional compliance and conduct governance frameworks, ensuring US business is aligned and follows best practices Lead 1LOD engagements with regulators, auditors, compliance examination and testing teams Overseeing conduct risk and consequence management for ~150 sales & trading staff Managing costs for headcount, vendors, data, and technological development within $60m budget Facilitating new business initiatives and growth projects to increase revenues and expand product offerings Working closely with senior stakeholders from various functions (e.g. Sales, Structuring, Compliance & Legal) Identifying and investigating operational risk events and tracking actions to resolution Support Operational Risk initiatives and provide input into the ongoing enhancement/development of them including automation of processes and controls Salary information New York: the salary range for this role is $235000 to $255000 The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Your team The Unified Global Markets Americas COO team is a highly strategic and cross-functional team that is responsible for the formulation, implementation and support of the key client-focused initiatives, and processes that impact our client’s experience. This is a diverse role spanning across Sales, Trading, and Structuring with front to back control accountability. Members of the team have broad exposure across both IB Global Markets business and Wealth Management US, often collaborating and partnering with business function leaders, UGM management, and support & logistics teams. Your expertise Ability to communicate and work with stakeholders and team members across all areas of the bank and of various levels of seniority Good at building networks of contacts across the business, logistics and control functions Ability to understand new issues and processes quickly and determine priorities and solutions based on business need and benefit Excellent analytical and presentation skills; proficiency in excel, power point. Knowledge of Alteryx would be an advantage Comfortable working independently, as well as in a collaborative environment Experience with regulatory implementation and/or knowledge of structured products would be an advantage Strong focus, drive and commitment, and track record in getting jobs done on time and to a high standard (a commercial ‘can-do’ approach) Able to remain calm under pressure and cope with difficult and changing scenarios Proficient in both spoken and written English About us UBS is the world’s largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
