As a Technologist, your responsibilities will include operating a R&D test laboratory, conducting exploratory feasibility testing, investigating customer complaints and performing formal verification protocols to ensure our products meet our design requirements. Responsible for driving pre-released (dry run) test plans in conjunction with the test plan owner or appropriate engineer as well as failure investigations on customer-returned devices. Run test procedures, troubleshooting/scenario re-creation, and document systems test results. Review test procedures and corrects/modifies as needed. Responsible for the adequate set-up and maintenance of lab equipment and supplies as required by the associated procedures or R&D project. Follow laboratory procedures for methods associated with control of records, test variables, equipment calibration, and documentation practices for R&D and Failure Analysis Lab as appropriate. Partner with engineers for collection of data and information related to non-formal testing or evaluation practices as well as customer evaluations. Assist in compiling observations, analyzing data and interpreting results. Work with Engineers to investigate test results. High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of proven experience in related field. 3+ years of company work experience inspecting, testing or calibrating products or product components preferred. Demonstrated application/use of Microsoft Office applications. Possess good communication and problem-solving skills. Proficient use of laboratory equipment. Basic digital literacy including data entry, basic data manipulation, word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail. Must be adaptable, quick to learn new practices/procedures, technologies, as well as managing communications effectively among diverse groups of people within an organization. Knowledge and working application of standard operating procedures. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with fast pace, changing priorities, and set deadlines. Familiarity with GMP/GLP practices.
