The Cleaning Club is a trusted dry cleaning business proudly serving the West Los Angeles community for over 35 years. Our long-time tailor is retiring, and we are looking for an experienced, customer-facing Tailor/Alteration Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, in-house position with a stable, reputable business where your expertise will be valued and respected.

Preferred: MondaySaturday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
We are flexible for the right candidate.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and personable Tailor to independently manage alterations and fittings. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, take measurements, offer guidance, and complete the required alterations with precision and care. Youll work with all types of garments and fabrics, including formalwear, suits, denim, leather, uniforms, and bridal gowns.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers for fittings and consultations

• Take accurate measurements and offer expert advice on alteration options

• Perform a wide range of alterations including hemming, tapering, resizing, zipper replacement, repairs, and custom adjustments

• Operate and maintain all tailoring equipment and work area

• Maintain inventory of materials and communicate needs for replenishment

• Provide high-quality workmanship and ensure on-time delivery

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a few years professional tailoring and alterations experience

• Comfortable working independently and interacting with customers

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship

• Knowledge of tailoring tools, fabrics, and techniques

• Friendly, professional, and reliable
