We're seeking a leader to drive the development of cutting-edge software solutions for our Novum IQ Infusion Platform. As a Sr Manager, Systems Software Engineering, you'll lead a team of 10 systems & software engineers in Raleigh, NC, and be responsible for delivering software level R&D deliverables that transform the medical devices and therapies business segment. This role is based out of our Raleigh, NC location with relocation benefits available. Responsibilities include leading and managing a team of system engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of software for Infusion pump platform; managing multiple ongoing projects within Infusion systems; recruiting, mentoring, and leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team; overseeing the development and optimization of embedded and digital products within the infusion pump platform to meet regulatory and safety standards; leading software requirements and risk management development; supporting organizational alignment in deriving software requirements from clinical and user needs; planning software release projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders; championing an Agile development culture; representing the systems software engineering team in communications; identifying and mitigating technical risks; coaching and motivating team members; ensuring on-time delivery with high quality; driving functional excellence and continuous improvement initiatives; fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adoption of best practices. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years related experience or 8+ years with a Masters degree; experience managing technical teams in medical device software development; expertise in systems engineering; experience with software requirements and risk management; familiarity with development tools like Jira and Doors; solid understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies; experience delivering software solutions to market; strong problem-solving and project management skills; ability to build relationships and handle competing priorities.
