Title: Senior Mining Engineer Location: Medley, FL- Onsite Duration: Direct Hire Compensation: $90K- $115k Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US Senior Mining EngineerSummary: We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to lead and support quarry operations, including mine planning, contractor oversight, production scheduling, and safety compliance. This hands-on role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure optimal resource recovery and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement mine plans, quarry designs, and production schedules using advanced CAD and mine planning tools. Act as a backup to the Quarry Supervisor, overseeing crew activities, performing safety checks, and managing daily operations. Coordinate with and supervise third-party contractors (e.g., drilling, blasting, stripping), ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Conduct mine and aerial surveys (UAV-based) and assist with FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification compliance. Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams on equipment utilization, reliability tracking, and capital project planning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mining or Civil Engineering (Master's preferred). Minimum 4 years of experience in mine engineering with progressive responsibilities. Proficient in AutoCAD, Vulcan, or similar mine planning software; strong analytical and reporting skills. FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire. Familiar with MSHA regulations and mobile mining equipment; cement/aggregates industry experience is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
