The Company: A well-established, national retailer is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its high-performing Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This Fortune 500 company operates thousands of locations across the U.S. and continues to expand by focusing on operational excellence, financial discipline, and delivering value to its customers. With a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment, the company offers career growth opportunities, exposure to senior leadership, and a culture of continuous learning.

The Role: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in forecasting, long-term planning, reporting, and strategic financial analysis to support the Finance department and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with stakeholders across an organization and providing meaningful insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the weekly forecasting process, analyzing key P&L components (sales, gross margin, inventory, etc.)
  • Partner with business units to identify financial trends, variances, and key drivers to provide insights for decision-making
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and long-term planning processes, helping to set financial targets and build forecasts
  • Communicate key updates to business partners, generate high-level summaries, and explain financial variances
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, including analysis of business performance, inventory trends, and balance sheet data
  • Support Investor Relations and executive leadership with analytical insights and board-level financial discussions
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business strategy and operational improvements

Qualifications:

  • 4-5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis (retail industry experience preferred but not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CFA or MBA a plus)

  • Experience with financial systems and applications (PowerBI, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, Peoplesoft Financials, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced modeling) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to synthesize large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills—ability to collaborate across teams and present to leadership
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and taking ownership of projects with minimal oversight

Why consider this Opportunity?

  • Career Growth – A company that invests in employee development
  • High-Impact Role – Direct exposure to senior leadership on key financial strategies
  • Collaborative Culture – A team-oriented environment that values innovation and learning
  • Competitive Pay & Benefits – Comprehensive compensation package including bonus & hybrid work flexibility
