As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for all individuals at a shelter location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, greeting and assisting visitors, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be the first point of contact for guests and residents, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of the shelter location.
• Monitor access to the facility, verifying identification and/or authorization for entry as required by site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address questions, provide information, and support a welcoming environment.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior through a visible presence and adherence to site policies.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
