As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment within a bustling government district. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular bike and foot patrols throughout the area, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to community members and visitors. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and to monitor for unusual conditions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any security-related observations.
  • Communicate professionally with property management, local authorities, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any suspicious activity.
  • Support a welcoming environment by providing directions and/or assistance to the public as needed within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
