A-Line Staffing is now hiring Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacists (Work from Home).
The Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $53.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Highlights

• This position is a fully remote contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Required availability: Monday–Friday 9:30am–6:00pm or Sunday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm (local time)
• Training schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm CT

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Review and complete prior authorization criteria in accordance with company policy and procedure
• Review patient profiles for drug interactions, sensitivities, and appropriate usage
• Contact prescribers for clarification, follow-up, or therapeutic interventions when necessary
• Enter prescriptions accurately and ensure all required data is complete
• Dispense prescription medications and perform final quality checks for accuracy and dosage
• Maintain compliance with procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs
• Collaborate with other pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Maintain a secure and confidential workspace that adheres to teleworker privacy standards

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Active pharmacist license in state of residence (in good standing)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must provide proof of high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload) via
• Must have a smartphone for VPN token setup and security access
• Must have a private, secure work area free from unauthorized access and distractions
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of pharmacist experience (retail or clinical)
• Prior experience with prior authorization reviews or clinical case review in a high-volume setting is preferred but not required
• Experience multitasking across multiple systems and technology platforms
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
