Overview: Jr Quality Engineer MöllerTech South, LLC is a Tier 1 supplier of interior trim to the automotive industry. The company has more than doubled in size since 2010, employing close to 300 people, and new programs are under development promising more jobs and more equipment in the near future. Our location in Elberton, Georgia offers a more rural lifestyle, with many opportunities for fishing, hunting, golfing, and boating. All of the basic needs for groceries, dining, and services can be found locally, while a larger selection of shopping and entertainment options can be found in the nearby cities of Athens and Hartwell, GA, as well as Anderson, SC. We are seeking a motivated Junior Quality Engineer to take ownership of internal quality processes, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in manufacturing or automotive environments, who thrives in a collaborative setting and is eager to grow in quality engineering.

• Jr Quality Engineer:*
• Key Responsibilities:*
• 1. Quality Systems & Software Implementation*
• Lead and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal quality issues.
• Perform root cause analysis on non-conformances and implement effective solutions.
• Support internal audits by preparing documentation, tracking findings, and ensuring timely closure of issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and customer corrective actions (CARs).
• Drive shop floor quality initiatives to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall production efficiency.
• Maintain and improve quality documentation, procedures, and processes in line with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards.
• Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and recommend improvements to leadership.
• Assist with training and coaching employees on quality standards and best practices.
• 2. Product Launch & Production Support*
• Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management to ensure quality readiness for new product introductions.
• Support the development and approval of control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection standards.
• Participate in launch readiness reviews and PPAP processes.
• 3. Quality Control & Compliance*
• Maintain and improve quality documentation and procedures in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or customer-specific requirements.
• Assist with internal audits, root cause analyses, and CAPA processes.
• Support metrics reporting and analysis of quality KPIs.
• 4. Supplier Quality & Incoming Inspection*
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage and improve supplier quality performance.
• Support incoming goods inspections, audits, and incoming quality certifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Qualifications:*
• 2+ years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Experience with quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, 8D, PPAP, SPC, MSA).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Bonus Skills:*
• Experience with supplier quality and audit processes.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
