Graphic Designer I (Hybrid – Jackson, MI Area)

Employment Type: Contract through December 31, 2025 (High potential for extension)

Work Schedule: Hybrid (Candidates must reside within a 60–80-mile radius of Jackson, MI)

Portfolio Requirement: Applications must include a portfolio showcasing both graphic design and video/photography work

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and versatile Graphic Designer I with strong video editing and production skills to join our growing Visual Design and Multimedia team. This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be based locally and willing to travel to our Jackson, MI office weekly, with occasional fieldwork across Michigan.

You will work within a 20–25-person creative team and collaborate closely with designers, writers, marketers, and video producers. Your portfolio should demonstrate expertise in both graphic design and video/photography projects .

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and produce high-quality video content for social media, campaigns, and marketing use
• Support video shoots in the studio and on-site across different locations in Michigan
• Contribute to external brand communications through compelling design work
• Assist in editing content for marketing and internal teams
• Capture video/photography content for field projects as needed
• Collaborate with the creative team on paid media, digital, social, and product design projects

Required Skills & Tools

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign – design work only, no coding required)
• Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro skills – video editing is a core responsibility
• Hands-on experience with video shooting for social media and traditional formats
• Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Animate is a strong plus
• Timeline-based editing experience is an advantage
• Strong design sensibility and a collaborative work ethic
• Excellent communication and time management skills

• This is a hybrid role – candidates must be local (within 60–80 miles of Jackson, MI)
• Weekly in-office presence required to support video editing and collaboration
• Occasional field assignments across Michigan may be required
