Forklift Mechanic -- Day Shift -- Up to $30 Per Hour to Start -- Weekly Pay

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Mechanic, responsible for the maintenance and repair of various facility-related equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment. This role involves monitoring, trending, troubleshooting, and conducting preventative maintenance to ensure the safe operation of all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and observe or test adjustments to ensure safe operation.
• Log time and materials, maintain work orders, and track inventory using computerized maintenance management software.
• Interpret and understand plans, specifications, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Repair dock doors and perform rack installations as needed.
• Assist with battery maintenance, including charger repairs, battery changes, watering, and washing batteries, as well as acid spill cleanup.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on forklifts and conveyors to maintain productivity and optimal equipment performance.
• Maintain spare parts inventory, order replacements, and update maintenance records and reports regularly.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse with heat and tall ceilings, where racking reaches three stories high. Air conditioning will be installed next year. The team operates on a Saturday through Monday schedule from 7 am to 7 pm. Although working 36 hours per week, employees are eligible for full-time benefits. Dress code includes boots above the ankle, jeans, and layers as needed. The team consists of five members, with a total of 300 employees in the facility. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.27 - $30.27/hr.
