About the Partnerships and Liaison Group

The PLG collaborates with UNOPS HQ, regional, and country offices to develop partnerships and strengthen UNOPS' positioning within the UN system, member states, and intergovernmental bodies. It provides training on partnership strategies, supports operationalization of partnership strategies, and maintains a network of liaison offices globally.

Washington Liaison Office

The office represents UNOPS vis-à-vis the US administration and US-based partners, including the World Bank Group, think tanks, academia, foundations, and philanthropies.

About the Role

The Director of the Washington Liaison Office (ICS13) provides strategic leadership for UNOPS' engagement with Washington-based stakeholders, ensuring effective positioning as a trusted implementation partner and influencing funding, policy, and strategic alignment. The role involves leading partnership development, executing engagement strategies, and advising senior leadership.

Qualifications

An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) is required.
