About the Role

A well-capitalized investment organization is seeking a Finance Leader to join its Chicago-based team. This opportunity is available at either the Director or Senior Director level, depending on experience. The role offers full visibility across the firm and the chance to shape financial operations, reporting, and strategy in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

This is a high-impact position for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, leadership experience, and a background in investment or asset management environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, consolidations, and technical accounting across multiple entities
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Partner with senior leadership on financial strategy and performance analysis
• Manage and mentor a high-performing finance team
• Support audit readiness and liaise with external auditors
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements
• Contribute to investor reporting and executive presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in investment, asset management or private equity. Can also look at backgrounds in REITS or fund administration
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Experience working in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments preferred
