Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and execution‑focused Chief of Staff to support Investment Banking and Equity Research technology. This individual will act as a key partner and trusted advisor to the executive, helping to drive priorities, manage operational effectiveness, and ensure seamless communication and alignment across multiple technology teams. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong business acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to influence and coordinate across functions in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Technology Executive to drive strategic initiatives and track progress on key goals and deliverables. Maintain the current org structure, monitor headcount, and support workforce planning. Ensure alignment with broader technology and HR strategy. Manage and track the technology budget, including forecasting, actuals, variance analysis, and reporting. Collaborate with Finance to ensure accuracy and accountability. Coordinate and oversee strategic vendor relationships, including contract tracking, performance management, and renewal timelines. Prepare and deliver updates, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership. Facilitate clear and consistent communication within the organization and across stakeholder groups. Plan and facilitate leadership meetings, offsites, and key decision‑making forums. Ensure agendas are clear, outcomes are documented, and follow‑ups are tracked. Serve as a central hub for managing information flow across the executive’s team and other key partners. Anticipate and surface issues before they become problems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, Strategy, Finance, Operations, or Program Management role—preferably in a financial services or technology organization. Strong analytical, budgeting, and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated ability to drive complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, JIRA, Teams, Slack). Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously. Discretion, integrity, and sound judgment in handling confidential information. Depth & Scope Role generally supports a significant business area, product group, Enterprise Platform, Service or Capability under a Segment CIO or technology functional area. Sets work direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business or technology leaders to establish and execute on common goals with a medium to longer term business perspective. Expert knowledge of the business and bank technology standards (e.g., infrastructure, architecture, processes, applications) from a strategic perspective and managing/directing teams and projects. Sound knowledge of external competition, emerging, industry and/or market trends in relation to own business. Integrator role that oversees various technology functions / resources to deliver business technical solutions or shared service. Oversees a sizable and varied team of technology professionals (e.g., up to 50+ consisting of Application Developers, Solutions Designers, Business Systems Analysts, Specialists, and/or Project Managers) in the end to end delivery of complex projects, system enhancements / applications and/or application or service management. Directs/manages large‑scale applications/ projects across multiple product lines/ businesses, involving significant scope and complexity. Understands strategic direction (including financials) and champions alliances to benefit the Bank and/or department; advocates for operational improvements to enhance the division’s value to the organization. Role typically reports to an Executive role. Education & Experience Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate. Graduate degree, preferred. 10+ years related experience. Expert knowledge of the business and bank technology standards (e.g., infrastructure, architecture, processes, applications) from a strategic perspective and managing/directing teams and projects. Sound knowledge of external competition, emerging, industry and/or market trends in relation to own business.
