Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) Technical Editor Location: San Diego, CA 92127 Pay Rate: $21 - $25 per hour Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday Employment Type: 100% Onsite | Temp-to-Hire Essential Responsibilities: Research and compile diagnostic and repair data using the Electronic Publishing System under the supervision of the Coordinating Senior Editor, Senior Editor, or Team Lead. Ensure technical accuracy and consistency of information within established guidelines. Once fully trained, meet productivity and quality standards. Collaborate in a team environment to support organizational objectives. Recommend improvements to CVG products based on customer feedback or industry knowledge. Stay informed on competitive products and industry trends. Provide project status reports as requested. Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude with internal departments. Develop and expand knowledge of current commercial vehicle applications and technologies. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & Education Requirements: High school diploma required; auto shop classes preferred. AA degree or Vo-Tech certification preferred, with emphasis on commercial vehicle diagnostics and repair. Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in the commercial vehicle industry with a focus on diagnostics. ASE certification is a plus. Completion of at least one college-level English writing course or equivalent. Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Ability to identify relevant technical information for diagnostic and repair content. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Office environment. Overtime may be required based on business needs, including occasional Saturdays.
