Saint Honoré Boulangerie is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team at one of our premier Portland-area locations . We are Portland’s renowned authentic French bakery, dedicated to delivering a memorable guest experience through high-quality food and exceptional service. This critical role oversees all daily Front-of-House (FOH) operations, ensuring service standards are upheld, managing cash control, and maintaining operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities & Leadership Focus

• Lead and direct the FOH team across all shifts, setting the standard for premium guest service.
• Conduct comprehensive daily cash handling , including register reconciliation and end-of-day reporting.
• Mentor, train, and formally onboard new team members, providing structured performance feedback to the executive team.
• Act as the Manager-on-Duty , maintaining full operational control and decision authority for the store.
• Manage inventory and place vendor orders for all FOH and food supplies to prevent shortages.
• Resolve conflicts and customer issues professionally and effectively.
• Execute and oversee all shift procedures, from opening checklists to closing sanitation routines.
• Maintain the flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and on-call availability for absentee shifts.
• Other duties within the accepted job scope will apply.

Required Background & Experience

• Must be 21 years of age by the first day of work (required for management duties involving alcohol sales).
• 1–2 years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role in food service.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) permit.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon Food Handler's Card .
• Proficiency in scheduling systems and restaurant management/POS software.
• Excellent cash handling and team leadership skills are a must.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (entire shift).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly (e.g., supplies).
• Perform repetitive movements with hands and arms (e.g., barista duties, cashiering).
• Ability to use a computer, POS, and answer the phone as needed.
